Engineer R&D - Assembly (f/m/d)

In the role, you will work on dedicated assembly machines, contribute expertise to projects, and support strategic R&D initiatives. This role involves external benchmarking, new process development, and day-to-day responsibilities to ensure product readiness and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
  • Operate dedicated assembly machines and contribute expertise to projects.
  • Participate in strategic R&D projects and assigned work packages.
  • Research new developments with suppliers and collaborate with R&D project managers to improve existing equipment processes.
  • Interface between R&D and Technical Development, reviewing process capabilities.
  • Produce customer samples and test boards, ensuring product readiness.
  • Conduct internal reporting and prepare production handovers.
  • Suggest and evaluate new concepts for yield and capability improvement.
  • Facilitate communication with relevant departments and provide investment suggestions to management.
  • Evaluate new equipment and processes.
Your Profile
  • Technical education (HTL, Bachelor or Master degree) in Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical or material science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with assembly processes (tape and reel, waver handling).
  • Qualified for machine handling and operation, and optimizing machine settings.
  • Excellent technical and solution-oriented process thinking with good statistical skills.
  • Strong self-organization skills, effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • You are a team player, resilient, eager to learn and responsible.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English is required.
