Your personal sphere of play:Your future position will be at the Institute of Computer Science in the Visualization and Data Analysis research group. This group is distinguished by excellent research in Visualization and Data Science, as well as applied research in Human-Computer Interaction and Machine Learning.
The research objective of this position is to create tools for the visual support of Machine Learning models, including Regression, Classification, and Clustering algorithms. A particular focus lies on the analysis of Deep Learning networks. Our research group, Visualization and Data Analysis, offers a pleasant working environment with a friendly, dynamic, international, and young team. Our group consists of international researchers who take pride in their collegial atmosphere.
The position is limited to the duration of an employee's leave of absence.
Your future tasks:Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
• Doctorate/PhD in computer science with excellent grades.
• Diploma, Master's, or Magister degree in computer science, media informatics, or business informatics (or equivalent, with solid knowledge in computer science being an absolute prerequisite) with a very good degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• High motivation to work in a team.
• Strong motivation to publish in top-tier journals and present at prestigious conferences.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.
• Persistence, focus, integrity, and the ability to drive tasks forward and complete them.
• Capability for persistence, focus, and taking on leadership roles in organizational tasks and partnerships/communication with other project teams.
Additionally expected qualifications:
• Teaching experience and familiarity with a variety of teaching methods.
• Experience in contributing to research projects.
• Publications in renowned, subject-specific media (peer-reviewed according to academic standards).
• International lecturing experience.
Desirable qualifications:
• Familiarity with university processes and structures.
• International experience.
• Experience in student supervision.
