IT Systems Administrator

We are hiring at ASE Global for an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Vienna!

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of our corporate IT systems. The ideal candidate will manage server patching, maintain Windows Active Directory, oversee domain administration, set up and image laptops/hardware, and be experienced in virtualization technologies (particularly Hyper-V). This role requires a solid technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to system optimization and security.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere within commutable distance of our office in Vienna, working in an on-site work model!

What your day will look like:

• Administer Windows-based servers, including scheduling and applying security patches
• Manage and maintain Active Directory (user accounts, groups, policies) and domain administration
• Oversee virtualization environments, especially using Hyper-V, to ensure optimal resource allocation and performance
• Provision, configure, and deploy laptops/hardware, including imaging and software installations
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability
• Implement security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard systems and data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and ensure smooth IT operations
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure changes, configurations, and processes

About You:

• At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar related discipline is highly advantageous
• Proven experience in a Windows-based server environment (Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy)
• Solid understanding of network protocols and domain administration
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Hyper-V
• Proficiency in imaging and deploying laptops/hardware, including Windows imaging tools
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Familiarity with patch management and security best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Previous experience with responsibility for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of our corporate IT systems is highly advantageous
• Experience in server patching, maintain Windows Active Directory, oversee domain administration, set up and image laptops/hardware, and be experienced in virtualization technologies (particularly Hyper-V) is highly advantageous
• Solid technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to system optimization and security is highly advantageous
• At least a professional level of German and English, both written and verbal, is essential
• Legally authorized to work in Austria
