Job Title: Senior Accountant Alpine

Location: Vienna (hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Accounting to join our Northern Europe Hub finance team, in charge of the Alpine market and reporting directly to the NEC Accounting Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the market day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimization of financial processes with special focus on the Austrian market. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the NEC Accounting Lead, the Alpine Business Controller, the region finance community and the R2R/S2P/I2C teams to drive financial excellence and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and consolidate the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting for the different affiliates.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other month-end activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial data for multiple entities.
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable and payable aging, providing insights into working capital trends.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital and improve cash flow in liaison with the market Business Controller.

• Oversee balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Establish and maintain robust internal control processes to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with external tax advisors.

• Coordinate and manage for accurate and timely filing of the different tax returns in Austria (VAT, WHT, CIT,…)

• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Formulate and coordinate the Statutory Accounts, the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
• Prepare and lead the Transfer Price reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization within the finance team.
• Share and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Demonstrate the ability to deep dive into financial details while maintaining a holistic view of the overall financial landscape.
• Serve as a role model within the finance team and the organization, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role working with transversal teams. Knowledge on Transfer Price very desirable.
• Robust knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and tax regulations in Alpine, and more specifically in Austria. It will be a very strong advantage to have experience in statutory accounting in other markets from the region.

• Strong team player with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, , with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, deal with ambiguity and work in matrix organizations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP, and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English and German is required. Other European languages are a plus

• For this position we offer a minimum salary of € 70 000 / year, with a willingness to overpay based on qualification

The Minimum base salary for this role is 67200 EUR per annum including the 14th salary. Depending on the skills and qualifications we are ready to potentially offer a higher one.
