Senior Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) - Home office possible
Your New Role:
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our Deep Unity Discovery/RIS product, a next-generation radiology information system designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in healthcare environments. While your primary focus will be on backend development, you will also contribute to the frontend, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Please note: This position requires a high level of presence at the Vienna location!
What You’ll Do:
Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services, ensuring high performance and reliability
Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks to create a seamless user experience
Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to understand workflows and requirements within the healthcare sector
Maintain high coding standards through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, proactively addressing technical debt
Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our tech stack
Over time, become an expert in healthcare IT standards such as FHIR and DICOM
What You Bring:
5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies
Expertise in Java-based frameworks like Quarkus (or similar) and microservice architectures
Deep understanding of design patterns, cloud-native principles and software engineering best practices
Proficiency in JPA/Hibernate, relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL), and RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.
Strong commitment to software quality, with experience in automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
Proficiency with Git, Maven, and Linux
Experience in agile development teams and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Fluent in English (written & spoken); German is a plus

The minimum salary for this position is € 54.000,-- gross per year (38.5 working hours) according to the IT-collective agreement in Austria, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
