Sr Medical Science Liaison (Manager) (m/f/d) - Eastern Germany
Summary: The Sr Medical Science Liaison (MSL) regularly interacts with selected neurologists and key medical expert (KME) in the established area with the aim to present and discuss aspects of the Client Neuroscience portfolio/product, to identify their medical needs and pass this information on to cross-functional internal partners. He / she is responsible for new educational formats and projects, including planning, executing and tracking, as well as leading functional and cross-functional project groups for customer-focused projects; support of relevant centers in initiating scientific projects (IIT) and participating in scientific studies before and after approval. In addition, he/she is responsible for medical-scientific training and training of Account Managers in the area. Main Responsibilities and accountabilities: Interaction with KMEs/HCPs in dedicated MSL areas to present and discuss:
relevant medical and scientific data and papers with selected neurologists, experts and KMEs with focus on neuroscience narratives, like diagnosis, therapy monitoring, patient outcome
safety updates for Client neuroscience products
real world data including comparative effectiveness data concerning neuroscience portfolio
gathering meaningful medical insights and to share with other internal functions
Top KME engagement
Creating local KME network incl selecting KMEs and engaging in different projects and platforms based on defined Medical strategy
Developing concepts and conducting expert meetings / Advisory Boards
Creating and evolving medical education platforms like stand alones, nationwide cooperation programs like regional expert meetings, workshop groups:
Leading project groups concerning those events and platforms including detailed project plan and tracking strong execution
Creating measurements and tools to measure impact, outcome and value of all educational programs and projects
Constantly informing all relevant internal stakeholders about the status of projects
KME engagement for projects
Study projects
Management of investigator initiated trials (IIT) und sponsored research agreements (SRA)
Check of alignment with Client areas of interest and inform investigators
Support of study proposals (SRAs)
Managing Client approval process
Support country clinical study leads concerning Phase 2 and 3 studies
Congresses
Attending selected congresses and supporting or leading different KME engagement programs
Support the booth team
Qualifications
MD, PharmD, pharmacist, PHD and other life sciences with solid medical/technical background and proven competencies in the project management
Proven informal leadership
Field Medical launch / pre-license experience
2+ years MSL experience
Proven competence in developing strategic & execution capabilities
Superior project management, including demonstrated ability to effectively lead, cross-functional project teams
Thorough understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
Registry experience and / or IIT / SRA experience
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and a customer focus are necessary
Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment and to motivate a team to do the same
Should bring an affinity to digital products and solutions; openness to pilot new approaches; drive to support digitization within the team and company
