Your future areas of responsibility:

As Deputy Chief Actuary Life/Health (m/f/d), you will support our Chief Actuary in leading and managing our actuarial department in the following tasks:

• Active contribution to strategic topics and the planning process
• Coordination of monthly and quarterly reporting (IFRS 17, Solvency II) within the team
• Actuarial support and further development of new business strategy and reporting, including generating, reporting, and analyzing cash flows and key figures (IFRS 17) using internal models in RAFM
• Support proposals for profit sharing and preparation of actuarial analyses as well as Actuarial function reports
• Close collaboration on various topics with Underwriting, (Risk) Controlling, and Accounting, providing technical, actuarial support, especially regarding product topics and the Value of New Business
• Close cooperation with all areas within Allianz Austria to ensure sustainable and profitable growth
• Ongoing interaction with the actuarial function of Allianz Central Europe Region and Allianz Group, sharing best practices
• Support in the development and validation of actuarial models and methods for Solvency II and IFRS 17

Our requirements:

• Completed studies in insurance or business mathematics or business studies with a focus on quantitative finance
• Complete training as an actuary and certification as a recognized actuary in the Actuarial Association of Austria (AVÖ) or comparable membership in another European actuarial association
• Several years of relevant professional experience in the actuarial field combined with strong skills in stakeholder management
• Leadership qualities and a "growth mindset" to drive change and innovation within the organization
• Very good knowledge of Solvency II requirements and extensive experience with IFRS 17, Embedded Value, and insurance products
• Experience in actuarial modeling (ideally RAFM/Unify)
• Strong communication skills in very good German and English (C1)

Start date: asap | Working hours: 38.5 hours per week | Location: ICON Towers - directly at Vienna Central Station, 1100 Vienna |

Annual gross salary: 80,000 EUR (willingness to overpay depending on qualifications)
