The Head of Order & Project Management (m/f/d) Medium Power Transformers leads the team responsible for managing the Medium Power Transformer project portfolio within an Engineering-to-Order business. This involves translating customer specifications into internal factory orders and ensuring projects are completed within targets for schedule, costs, and quality while meeting customer requirements. Key responsibilities include coaching and developing the team, enhancing margins, managing risks and opportunities, and overseeing change orders and claims. The role requires strong moderation and presentation skills, as well as the ability to define and improve process standards.
How You'll Make an Impact
* Lead and develop the order management team with a focus on resource planning, coaching, and development to achieve project targets and improve margins * Monitor project progress, ensure financial control, and maintain quality and data integrity in collaboration with the Commercial Project Manager (CPM), while identifying opportunities for project and process improvements * Conduct regular project reviews with stakeholders and senior management, utilizing strong moderation and presentation skills to ensure overall factory performance * Implement and maintain project management standards and tools, including phases, milestones, and quality gates, in alignment with sister factories * Facilitate risk and opportunity management, change orders, and claims, coordinating with Offer Management when necessary, and act as a thought partner for complex projects. Handle and support complex customer communications to ensure clarity and satisfaction
What You Bring
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or equivalent relevant professional experience * Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment * Proficiency in project management (ideally certified), team leadership, and process digitalization and visualization * Strong knowledge of risk, quality, and conflict management * Excellent command of German and English, ideally acquired in an intercultural setting

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of EUR 79.204,72 gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
